BU Jurists Bagged 3rd Position in Model Law Commission and Legislative Process Simulation-2019

BU Jurists, a 3-member team from Britannia University Law Department again sparkled and secured 3rd position in Principal M Waziullah Bhuiyan Model Law Commission and Legislative Process Simulation-2019 organized by Society for Critical Legal Studies (SCLS). The competition was held on April 5, 2019 at Chattogram Collegiate School & College, Chattogram. In the competition, a totality of 9 teams from around the country participated. This kind of competition is very new in Bangladesh. The competition was segmented into 3 Rounds such as- white paper presentation round, draft law presentation round and parliamentary debate round. Throughout the competition BU Jurists exerted splendid performance. Mr. Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarker, Hon’ble Justice of the HCD of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, graced the program as the chief guest. On the adjudicators’ panel, there were judges, advocates, DAG of the SC, university teachers etc. Thanks to team BU Jurists comprising Md. Ikbal Hossain, Md. Tarikul Islam Miaji and Redwan Ahammad for their shining exertions in the competition. Keep this spree of successes continuing in the days ahead. Thanks to Hon’ble Dean of School of Law, Dr. Md.
