The Department of CSE, Britannia University successfully organized an Online Free Dental Advisory named “Sensitive Expert by Pepsodent presents Smile Healthy in Changed Routine” on 30th November, 2020 at 09:00 PM using Zoom online platform. The event was held from our Official Facebook Page in association with 'Sensitive Expert by Pepsodent', Unilever, Bangladesh in order to grow awareness about oral health and hygiene in this pandemic situation.

This event was conducted by Omar Hasib, Representative, 'Sensitive Expert by Pepsodent’.  Dr. Md. Mostafijur Rahman, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Oral and Maxilloficial Surgery, Nitor, Dhaka and our faculty Mr. Md. Zahidur Rahman were present in the event as guest of honour. It was about one hour long live session including two sub sessions.

In the first session of event, Dr. Md. Mostafijur Rahman discussed in brief about our food habit, carelessness about oral health and hygiene, common oral diseases and some misconception about treatment. He provided detailed guidelines to follow and also suggested food items e.g. milk, fruits rich in vitamin c, fiber food etc. for the betterment of our oral health. He further discussed the current situation of treatment at hospital and procedures to be followed to visit the doctor’s chamber to avoid cross-contamination in this pandemic situation. He also discussed how we can take care of our teeth and mouth at home and stay safe in this pandemic situation, rather than going to doctor’s chamber.

In the second session, our faculty Mr. Md. Zahidur Rahman gave a presentation about the journey of our department, mentioning the facilities, activities, achievement and future plan of our department. He also discussed the initiatives taken by our varsity during this pandemic situation.

The event ended with thanks to the guests and audiences by the host Mr. Omar Hasib, Representative, 'Sensitive Expert by Pepsodent’.
