“Current Trends and Indicators of Economic Development of Bangladesh”
A Seminar titled ‘Current Trends and Indicators of Economic Development of Bangladesh’ was organized by the Department of Business Administration at Britannia University on 21 November, 2019. The seminar was chaired by Prof. Dr. Surajit Sarbabidya, Chairman of the Department of Business Administration and Dean of the School of Business. In one of the technical sessions Mrs. Tania Akter, Lecturer, School of Business, placed spotlight on comparative analysis of macroeconomic indicators, growth trends and achievements of Bangladesh with outer world. While in another technical session Miss Tama Saha, Lecturer, School of Business, discussed regarding the role of the series of ‘Five Year Plan’ from the 1st to the 7th Five Year Plan of the Government and their impactful analysis. Honorable Dean of the Business School concluded the session by highlighting the future challenges of Bangladesh and the role of Government for fostering healthy as well as sustainable economy. All the faculty members and students of the School of Business participated the seminar. It was a great opportunity for the students to learn about the indicators to learn in one thoughtful, scholastic and practical session at a time with at a glance form of presentation which will make them updated about the micro, macro and development economics related various aspects.
It is worthy to mention that Britannia University Business Club (BUBC) was in association with this endeavor with the commitment to develop leadership skills as well as awareness of social responsibilities to encourage members to participate in business, social and national affairs.
