CSE Study Tour 2021 (Sreemangal, Maulvibazar)
>> Starting of Journey
The students and teachers met with each other at the Comilla Railway Station at 11:00 pm on 28/12/2021. The team was in a festive mode and celebrated arrival of each of the tour mates with loud cheers. The students and teachers took snacks before the journey. With an instructive speech of the honorable chairman of the Department of CSE the participants set up their minds for the journey. Because of several occurrences, the train was a little bit late. Masum Sir and Zahid Sir arranged a football match to cheer the students up. They also fought a claw fight before the football match. Masum Sir gave a lesson on Physical Fitness and showed some exercise tips to the team. Meanwhile Emon started singing with the participation of the students. At 3:30 am the train arrived at the station. Everyone took seat in the train and the train started moving. And the grand study tour began.
>> In the Train
The temperature was 15 degree Celsius outside the train. Everyone was trembling with shivering cold in the station. But in the train the temperature was warm enough. Some of the participants were enjoying the train journey, other were in soporific mood. The Hawkers were making strange sound to sell their products in the train. The train stopped at different stations. People were getting out and getting in the train at the stations.
>> Sreemangal Railway Station
It was 7:00 am when the train arrived at the Sreemangal station. Participants got out of the train with their bag and baggage. The temperature was below 13 degree Celsius. There was fog everywhere. At the station two jeeps were eagerly waiting in which the participants took their seats.
>> Bristibilash Resort
The jeeps stopped at the Bristibilash resort which provided tourists with great service at affordable cost. The surrounding of the resort was simply beautiful. Students and teachers got into the rooms with their belongings. They made themselves ready for their visit to the first location.
>> Noorjahan Tea Garden
The jeeps started moving through a beautiful road which was surrounded by trees and small hilly tracts. There were greenery tea gardens everywhere. The students and teachers were enjoying the greenery sights. Some of the students started singing praising the natural beauty. The jeeps stopped at Noorjahan Tea Garden, which is one of the largest and beautiful tea gardens at Sreemangol. Everyone got out of the jeeps and took group photos and selfies; keeping the tea garden as background. The time spent at the tea garden was very enjoyable.
>>Madhabpur Lake & Tea Garden
The second spot was Madhabpur Lake which was very famous for its natural beauty. The water of the lake was crystal clear and there were water Lillie's everywhere in the lake. Kingfishers were eagerly waiting for their fists. Zahid Sir made several vlogs explaining the surrounding of the lake. The team also visited Madhabpur Tea Garden close to the Madhabpur Lake.
>> Laowachara Jatiya Uddan & Khasia Village
This spot was very famous for its eco-friendly tourism management. The forest was a safe zone for several types of wild animal. The teachers and students had to buy tickets to enter the spot. There were several locations which have been used by several film makers from national and international sectors. There was a location which has been used by Oscar winning movie "Around the world in 80 days". Humayun Ahmed's famous movie "Amar Ache Jol" was also filmed at different locations of the forest. The journey through the forest was very thrilling. The team also visited Khasia Village near the spot.
>> 2nd Day of the Tour
At 2nd day of the tour, the team visited several tourist spots such as Baikka Beel, Lal Pahar, Rubber Forest, Adi Nilkantha Tea Kabin, Manipur Village and Sreemangal Badhyabhumi (Killing zone).
>> Baikka Beel
The Baikka Beel was safe zone for immigrant birds and several types of rare animals. The team spent more than 1 hour at that spot. The team climbed trees and took personal and group photos there. From the watch tower they tried to have a bird eye view of the whole spot. Actually the journey through the road proceeding to Baikka Beel was really enjoyable.
>> Lal Pahar
After spending more than 1 hour at Baikka Beel the team went to another famous tourist spot. This time they had to climb Lal Pahar, a hilly tract to reach the Kali Mandir and Shiv Mandir. The surrounding viewed from the peak of the hill was very wonderful.
>> Rubber Forest
After the visiting of Lal Pahar, the team had their lunch from a famous restaurant which is known as Pansi. After the feast the team visited Rubber Forest which consists of lots of rubber tree. The systematic arrangement of the trees was very beautiful. The team arranged a running competition at that location.
>> Adi Nilkantha Tea Kabin and Manipur Village
At Manipur village the team enjoyed Seven Layer Tea from a famous tea store which is famous for its first introduction of seven layer tea in Bangladesh. The name of store is Adi Nilkantha Tea Kabin. The team bought clothes and other accessories from the village.
>> Sreemangal Badhyabhumi
There is slaughter place of Bangladesh Liberation War monument where Pakistani Army used to kill Bengali people during Liberation War in 1971, which are now called Badhyabhumi. At Badhyabhumi, the team paid tribute to the martyrs who had sacrificed their life for the liberation of the country.
>> Social Awareness Short Film Name “Black Ticket”
At the end of the visit, the team started filming of a social awareness short film name “Black Ticket”. Trailer was released immediately in YouTube for the audience.
>> Back to Cumilla
At night of the second day of the tour (30th December), the team arrived at the Sreemangal Railway Station to get into the train. The teachers and students got into the train. After two days long thrilling tour the team arrived at Cumilla station at 4:00 am on 31st December. The last part of the short film ‘Black Ticket’ filmed in 4:00 am to 5:30 am timeframe. After Fajar Prayer and Breakfast, everyone ready to go their home. Honorable teacher instructed everyone to have a safe return to their home. The time spent in the tour will always be remembered by the participants.
