To introduce the students of CSE dept. of Britannia University with the vast field of Graphic Designing and make them familiar with the online marketplace related with this field the Department of CSE has successfully arranged a 2 hours long seminar entitled “Graphic Designing and Freelancing” at the varsity campus. Mr. Ahasan Habib Alif, Graphic Design Trainer at Learning and Earning Development Project, LEDP and one of the brightest and most prolific alumni of the department was present as the keynote speaker of the seminar. Mr. Mozammel Haque, Honorable Chairman of Department of CSE, Britannia University was present as the chief guest in the seminar.  Students from all of the running semesters   along with  faculty members from the department of CSE participated in the seminar. The seminar was hosted and coordinated by Md. Zahidur Rahman, faculty member department of CSE.

At the beginning of the seminar the honorable host gave a welcome speech thanking the attendees and introducing the keynote speaker with the attendees. He instructed the students to hold attention while attending the seminar and inspired them to make queries regarding any topic to the keynote speaker in question and answer session.

Mr. Ahasan Habib Alif introduced himself as a former grad student of the department and instructed the students of the department to be in a cooperative environment by communicating with teachers about any academic issue. He thanked the department of CSE for providing him with the opportunity to be present as a keynote speaker of the seminar. In his 1 hour long speech he shared his journey with the freelancing profession in the graphic designing field in detail. He motivated the students to be hopeful while thinking of a career in the field. In his informative speech he had a discussion highlighting graphic designing, several application tools related with graphic designing, the process of becoming a prolific graphic designer, several learning sources, enhancing portfolio, graphic designer activities and other important issues related with graphic designing. He introduced the students with the online market places where they would be able to communicate with the clients across the globe. He also had a short discussion about the online payment system required to transfer payment from the clients.

In question-answering session, Ahasan Habib Alif responded to all of the queries made by the students. He motivated the students to start the course related with graphic designing from the sources available to them.

At the last part of the event, he along with the chief guest and faculty members presented certificates to the students who had participated in the graphic designing course taken by him at the department of CSE. Mr. Md. Zahidur Rahman for his contribution as course advisor had been rewarded certificate by the chief guest. 

Mr. Mozammel  Haque, the chief guest of the seminar thanked the keynote speaker for his presence and informative speech. He thanked all of the attendees for their patience and inspired the students to snatch the opportunity of this vast domain by preparing themselves through several courses. He wished that the seminar would enlighten everyone and help them in their professional life.
