Virtual Workshop on “Tips, Techniques and Challenges for Judiciary and Advocate ship Examinations: Motivational Session-II”
A Virtual Workshop on “Tips, Techniques and Challenges for Judiciary and Advocate ship Examinations: Motivational Session-II” was organized by the Department of Law, Britannia University on 12th September 2021 at 7:00 PM via Google Meet Platform. The Department of Law, BU had set its second motivational session to facilitate the law students to make them more confident in the area of the competitive examinations of two broad Law Career fields of Judiciary and Advocate ship.
As a Keynote Speaker of the session, there was present Sagir Ahmed Tutul, Assistant Judge, Shariatput District Judge Court, Shariatpur. The chief guest of the session was Professor Dr. Surajit Sarbabidya, Honorable Vice-Chancellor (In-Charge), Britannia University. As session chair there was present, Dr. Md. Milan Hossain, Dean & Chairman, Department of Law, BU. Respected faculty members of the Department of Law were also present. Both the current and former students of the Department and students from other institutions were also present in the session.
The session was hosted by Mohammad Motasim Billah, Lecturer, Dept. of Law, BU. At the beginning of the session, he introduced all the guests and invited Ms. Asma Akter, Lecturer, Department of Law, Britannia University for delivering her welcome speech and in her speech she heartfelt welcomed all the participants of the session and inaugurated the workshop.
After that Professor Dr. Surajit Sarbabidya, Honorable Vice-Chancellor (In-Charge) gave his speech as the chief guest of the session. In his speech, he gave importance on the need of organizing career oriented workshop for law students from the academic life so that the students can get prepared themselves from earlier. He assured the overall cooperation from the University in organizing such various diverse career-oriented initiatives. The Vice-Chancellor also thanked the respected keynote speaker to be present to make the students more technical and systemic in study. He advised to the students to take inspiration from the life and practical experiences of Sagir Ahmed Tutul, as he is a member of Bangladesh Judicial Service.
In the speech of the keynote speaker, Sagir Ahmed Tutul shared various life changing events of his life and career. He advised the students to focus on their career development by giving maximum focus on in-depth study. He also suggested them to give more dedication in achieving clear ideas of every Act. He advised the students to study with patience, to avoid the online social media addiction. He also shared various strategies in details to develop different skills in achieving success in the competitive examinations. In the Q &A session, in response to various questions of the students, he advised the students to study regularly with patience to achieve their desired goals.
Honorable session chair, Dean and Chairman of the Department of Law, BU, Dr. Md. Milan Hossain thanked the keynote speaker for his delightful discussion and appreciated for sharing his career related experiences with students and urged the students to follow his advices and suggestions to develop themselves for upcoming all competitive examinations . He assured the overall cooperation of the Department of Law to organize such workshops in the future to motivate and develop the skills of the students in different fields.
The convener of the workshop, Ms. Asma Akter, Lecturer, Department of Law, BU, in her closing remarks, thanked to all the participants and keynote speaker and assured that such workshop would be organized in future by the Department of Law, BU with the co-operation of all.
