Department of CSE of Britannia University has successfully arranged an open discussion on the topic entitled "Israel-Palestine conflict: history, current situation, role of UN and Muslim countries and our responsibilities" with the participation of the students from different batches, honorable faculty members, Assistant controller of the exam Mr. Sheikh Shaidul Islam, Chairman of Department of CSE Mr. Mozammel Haque, The two hour long open discussion was hosted and conducted by Mr. Md. Zahidur Rahman, faculty member department of CSE. At the beginning of the discussion the honorable host gives a speech welcoming all of the participants in the discussion. He discussed the purpose of the open discussion and explained overall construction of the open discussion.

Mr. Mohammad Jahed, faculty member department of CSE thanked the attendees and started his speech on “Israel-Palestine conflict: A historical background”. In his speech, he discussed the emergence of hatred toward Jewish community, exile of Jewish community from their motherland, immigration of Jewish people in different countries, crusade among Jewish and Christian, emergence of Zionist movement, settlement of Jewish people in Palestine during Ottoman emperor, 1st World War, Jewish immigration from Europe during 2nd world war, emergence of Israel as a nation, Arab-Israel War, Oslo accord and other historical aspects.

Mr. Sheikh Shaidul Islam, assistant controller of the exam of Britannia University with his authentic references from Holy Quran and Hadith discussed about the importance of Al Aksa Mosque for Muslim Ummah. He also discussed on several controversial topics that were included in Mr. Mohammad Jahed’s speech and provided his suggestion from Holy Quran and Hadith with proper reference. He discussed different religious issue related with Al Aska Mosque and discussed the importance of worshiping in Al Aska Mosque in the light of Islam.

Honorable faculty member Mr. Masum Bakaul discussed the importance of researching Quran and Hadith to know about Islam in a religious sense and to understand the global politics that deal with monetary system, educational system, weapon technology, master plans to control the world under new world order. He encouraged the listeners not only to know about artificial world system but also to practice Islam in everyone’s daily life. He discussed the present situation of Israel-Palestine conflict with the predictions given by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Mr. Rita Akter, honorable faculty member in her short speech discussed the background history of the Jewish community, criticized their action in different part of history and discussed about the emergence of Israel as a Jewish state. She gave emphasis on increasing global solidarity which is known as Muslim Brotherhood to find a solution to the 70 years long problem.

Honorable Chairman of the department of CSE, Britannia University, Mr. Mozammel Haque in his informative discussion, discussed the present state of the conflict and related the conflict history with the Prediction and Hadith from the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He discussed different issues in accordance with the Islamic scripture. He also discussed about global politics that deal with materialism which is void of spiritual teaching of Islam. He ensured with proper belief that the present state will be improved with the help of Almighty Allah and strengthening Muslim Brotherhood.

Atikkuzamman Emon, one of our students, related the present condition of the Israel-Palestine conflict with the situation of our Indian Subcontinent and wished for betterment of human beings irrespective to their religious identity, ethnic identity, Sadia Sultana discussed about Zionism and Semitism in her informative speech and thanked the honorable teachers for sharing their experience. Jannatul Alamin one of students from evening batch discussed his findings from Holy Scripture on the present state in an informative speech.

Mr. Md. Zahidur Rahman, Faculty member, host of the open discussion gave and brief overview of the speech given by the individual speakers and shared his opinion in this regards. He discussed about the present ceasefire among Hamas and Israeli military and thanked to Almighty Allah for the ceasefire. He thanked the global community, member countries of the UN, intellectuals, sports person, celebrities, politician for their efforts for the ceasefire. He wished that the global communities would find a way to make a two state solution where people from both communities will live peacefully.

After two hours long discussion the host thanked the participants for their participation in this open discussion.
