Webinar on Introduction to Cyber Security
The Department of CSE, Britannia University had successfully organized a Webinar On “Cyber Security”. The students of Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 (CSE) had participated in this event. The webinar was held on 3rd May, 2021 at 11:00 am using the Google Meet platform. It was hosted by our faculty Mr. Masum Bakaul.
The webinar focused on the fundamental terms of cyber security. In this session, Speakers discussed the basics of cyber security, identification of threat actors, attacks, social engineering attacks, measures and methods to protect oneself from attacks, security policies, methods, standards, and baseline.
Speakers also discussed the network architecture, wireless networks, wireless attacks, and some case study about the wireless attack, VPNs, network security controls and security tests, how to prevent unauthorized use of computer networks from access and how to test system and network devices for security holes and vulnerabilities? Internet security administration, board responsibilities, and executive management, identification, monitoring, and control of risk-averse events were also discussed here.
Finally, speakers discussed event management, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), how to develop event management skills? How to identify, store, retrieve, analyze and present digital information? How to recover from a disaster or unexpected event and resume activities?
The session ended with thanks to the students by the host Mr. Masum Bakaul, Lecturer, Department of CSE.
