Virtual Experience sharing Session upon the virtual training regarding Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework Ges Accreditation Standards & Criteria
A virtual experience sharing session upon the virtual training regarding Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF) Ges Accreditation Standards & Criteria was organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Britannia University on 12th April 2021 at 7:30 pm via Google Meet. The Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) was organized two days virtual training session on Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF) Ges Accreditation Standards & Criteria which was held on 11th April 2021 and 12th April 2021 respectively and four distinguished members as of Director, IQAC-BU; Head Department of English; Head, Department of CSE and Head of PSAC, Department of Law from Britannia University have participated in these virtual training sessions.
The speakers of the experience sharing session were Dr. Md. Milan Hossain, Director, IQAC, BU, Mr. Md. Tariqul Alam, Chairman, Department of English, Mr. Mozammel Haque, Chairman, Department of CSE, Asma Akter, Head of PSAC, Department of Law. The Session Chair of the seminar was the honourable Vice-Chancellor (In-charge) of Britannia University Professor Dr. Surajit Sarbabidya. There were also present respected faculty members of the concerned departments and Admin staff of Britannia University. The session was started with the speech of Asma Akter, Head of PSAC, Department of Law and she started her session by sharing some insightful thought regarding the significance of BAC ten standards to ensure a quality culture within the institution and disseminate the knowledge among the participants regarding what she had assimilated from the virtual training session, organized by the BAC. As of second speaker, Mr. Mozammel Haque, Chairman, Department of CSE shared his views on the implication of 63 criteria that was set by the BAC and also gave emphasis on the ICT infrastructures of the institution. Respected Chairman, Department of English, Mr. Md. Tariqul Alam shared his thought on need based research and he also gave emphasized on arranging workshops/seminars in these regards. The honourable Director of IQAC-BU also shared his experience and he motivated the participants to gather more knowledge on quality assurance and also shared his thought on the significance of OBE course curriculum to get accreditation from BAC. Then, there was a question and answer session where the participants of the session were asked questions to the Director of IQAC-BU and the respected speakers.
Then, the honourable Vice-Chancellor (In-charge) of Britannia University Professor Dr. Surajit Sarbabidya delivered his speech and urged the participants to work together to create the QA Culture within the institution for getting the accreditation certificate from Bangladesh Accreditation Council. The session ended with the vote of thanks to the speakers, Director, IQAC, BU, respected Dean and Chairman of the concerned departments, respected faculty members and admin staff by the Assistant Director of IQAC-BU, Md. Mr. Masum Bakaul.
