Mr. Hasnat Abdul Hye donated over 500 books for Britannia University Library.
Mr. Hasnat Abdul Hai is one of the pioneers of Bengali literature. He is simultaneously a novelist, playwright, art critic, social scientist and researcher. He was a prominent member of the Pakistan Civil Service and a former Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh. His greatest identity is that he is a devoted writer, researcher and sociologist. Prior to joining the Civil Service, he was a faculty member of Economics at Dhaka University. His glorious contribution as the Director General of Bangladesh Academy of Rural Development (BARD), Cumilla enriched many research projects with effective implications. With his highness Mr. Hasnat Abdul Hai donated more than 500 books from his personal collection to the Britannia University today through the Knowledge Trust. Knowledge Trust Secretary Mr. Bidhan Chandra Paul and Britannia University Examinations Regulatory Office Officer Md. Fahad Hossain received the books. Britannia University family members appreciate this valued contribution from Mr. Hasnat Abdul Hai and wish him a long life.
