Workshop on “Online Class and Assessment using Google Classroom”
For ensuring smooth progression of academic life of the students, the School of Business organized a workshop titled “Online Class and Assessment Using Google Classroom” on 3rd September, 2020 through BdREN licensed ZOOM Meeting Virtual Session. Mrs. Tania Akter, Lecturer, School of Business was the resource person in that workshop. The participants learned and enjoyed a lot as resource person has had expertise on online learning and teaching.
A sum of 60 participants, including all faculty members of the School of Business and students, attended this virtual workshop. Honorable Dean of the School of Business, Prof Dr. Surajit Sarbabidya delivered a welcome address as a Session Chair to the faculty members and students on the occasion. He also appreciated the efforts and dedication of both teachers and students for adopting the virtual learning system academically coping with the critical situation arising from COVID-19.
The speaker delivered her valuable counsel and direction on the uses of Google classroom as an assessment tool through live demonstration right from start to finish. As she showed from both Teacher-Student window views, they got necessary insights of using Google Classroom. For example, the students learned how to join the classes, submit the assignment, attend the exams, teachers enriched with know-how about Google classroom as assessment tools as well. Mrs. Farjana Tabassum Rimu, Lecturer, of the School of Business hosted the workshop session.
