Britannia University is looking for Proctor/Assistant Proctor, Office of the Proctor
The Proctor shall be an officer of the University directly responsible to the Vice-chancellor. He would be assisted by Assistant Proctors who would be responsible to the Proctor.
Main Duties of the Proctor:
1. He/She shall be responsible for the discipline and conduct of students within the University campus.
2. He/She shall perform such other duties regarding discipline of students as may be required by the Vice-Chancellor from time to time.
3. The Proctor or one Assistant Proctor shall ordinarily remain in the University Building during University hours for maintaining order and discipline in the University. For this purpose, ordinarily one Assistant Proctor must be chosen from each of the Faculties of Business Studies, Arts. Science and Law after consultation with the relevant Deans so that the normal place of work of at least one Assistant Proctor happens to be in the campus building of the University.
4. The Proctor, if he finds necessary may recommend to the Vice-Chancellor the appointment of a Prefect or Prefects from amongst the senior students to help him for maintaining discipline and order in the University.
5. The Proctor shall take such steps as he thinks necessary for the purpose of ensuring disciplined behavior and good conduct on the part of every student at all hours within the University Campus outside the Halls.
6. The students of University will be provided by their respective Halls, with identity cards, which they must produce on demand by the Proctor or the Assistant Proctors.
7.1 The Vice-Chancellor may delegate such of his disciplinary powers as he may think fit to the Proctor. The Vice-Chancellor shall issue standing orders as regards Lire extent of the power which he delegates to the Proctor.
7.2 The Proctor shall have power to impose on a student a fine upto Tk. 100.00 (Hundred) at a time for a breach of discipline or misconduct in the University. If s/he is of opinion that a fine of Tk. 100.00 (Hundred) is not sufficient s/he shall have power to expel a student from the University for a period not exceeding four months to be counted from the date of order. If however, s/he is of opinion that the case requires expulsion for more than 4 months he shall refer the case to the Vice-Chancellor for such actions as he may deem fit. Any fine imposed by the Proctor on a student shall be reported to the Head of the Department to which the student belongs.
7.3 The Assistant Proctors shall have powers to impose on a student a fine not exceeding Tk. 50.00 (Taka fifty) at a time, for breach of discipline or misconduct and report their action to the Proctor and to the Provosts concerned who will report such cases to the Vice-Chancellor.
7.4 No clubs or societies shall be allowed to be formed. No parties or entertainments shall be held within the premises of the University nor shall a student play musical instrument or use a loud speaker in the University premises during University hours without the previous permission of the Proctor. A breach of this rule will be treated as breach of discipline.
7.5 The Proctor may take suitable action against any student who willfully damages, disfigures or destroys University properties, or gardens, or does not observe the rules for facilitating movement within the University and for keeping the University neat and clean and for proper parking of cycles and vehicles.
7.6 Each teacher and officer of the University shall have proctorial powers and s/he can when necessary take suitable action for maintaining discipline in the University. Every such action shall be reported to the Proctor.
7.7 In an emergency, the Proctor or any of the Assistant Proctors can seek help of any employee of the University in the discharge of his/her duties in the University or outside, at all hours and it shall be the duty of the employee or employees concerned to give him every reasonable assistance.
8.1 No student of the University individually or collectively shall declare a -'strike" of the University students nor shall a student prevent another student of the University from attending the University classes, Laboratories and Library.
8.2 A student found guilty of violation of the provisions of this Section will be liable to punishment up to expulsion from this University.
8.3 Students absenting themselves from their classes on the days of strike will be liable to forfeiture of their scholarships and stipends.
9.1 No meetings of the students of the University other than the meetings organized by the University or by different Departments of the University, shall be held in any part of the University without the previous permission of the Proctor.
9.2 No demonstration shall be organized within any part of the University.
9.3 A student found guilty of violation of the provisions of this section shall be liable to punishment up to expulsion from the University.

Job Responsibilities
Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities as well as welfare activities of students are operated by the Office of the Advisor of Students’ Welfare (ASW) in BU. The Advisor with active assistance of the Assistant Advisors in this office shall play the central role in the development and growth of students in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. These student activities are promoted through the BU student clubs.
BU clubs arrange and participate in indoor and outdoor games, debates, seminars, workshops, cultural events, educational tours and various inter-state and intra-university tournaments, blood donation programs, soft skill development program, etc., under the supervision of ASW office. Job Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of examinations and assessments, the processing of grades and publication of results based on Britannia University policy, regulations and procedures.
- To provide accurate and timely information on examination and assessment regulations, policies and procedures.
- Generate the tabulation sheet & prepare and present the summary report for the Academic Council.
- Process academic probation, students absentee report, makeup exams, semester drop and course drop activities.
- Manage various academic systems such as credit transfer or waiver, academic standing & honors requirements.
- Deal with transfer equivalencies and department changes and any other procedures as required.
- Maintain the security of examinations and assessments and process disciplinary cases.

Job Responsibilities
- As per guideline of Private University Act-2010 and rules of the Britannia University, manage and perform the daily operations of the Accounts department
- Preparing Financial Statements in accordance with Standard
- Preparing and receiving all vouchers and taking approval on these from competent authority
- Assuring all transactions are properly recorded manually and electronically
- Arranging necessary payment through cash or cheque or any other approved mode
- Collection of fees from the students on that and deposit into the bank
- Maintaining General Ledger (GL) to ensure the all financial reporting deadlines are met
- Maintaining Payments and Receipts Registers as well as ensure records properly
- Maintaining the cheque book register or any register as necessary
